About the Competition

What IGSBC is, who can take part, and what your team needs to bring.

Introduction

IGSBC is Egypt's first national synthetic biology competition — bringing together undergraduate students from Egyptian and international universities to apply genetics, genetic engineering, and computational sciences to real-world problems. Teams design a full project, from problem framing through proof of concept, and present it before a national and international judging panel.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility

Open to undergraduate students from Egyptian and international universities, including interdisciplinary teams across faculties.

Team Composition

Minimum 3, maximum 10 student members, with at least one faculty supervisor attached to the team.
